Trail Riding Clinic

July 11 and 12, 2010
Herald CA

Trail riding can often be the most challenging ride. Unlike the controlled setting of the arena, the trail rider will encounter many situations where control of your mount is essential for safety. A fractious horse not only endangers his rider, but often others on the trail. Jerry Tindell’s program offers many tools and exercises to make your trail ride safe and fun.

What to expect at this clinic:

      Using your Tindell groundwork to prepare for the trail;

      One-on-one coaching with unsafe horse behavior: refusing to move forward, refusing to stop;

      Hands-on experience with common trail issues: crossing water, horse-eating bushes, strange dogs and livestock;

      Learning to ride your horse "alone in a crowd"; and

      Teaching your horse to stand quietly at the trailer or hitch rail.
