Description
Fundamentals of Riding Horse & Mules presents a quick review of round pen and groundwork, then proceeds through saddling, bridling, mounting, flexion, yielding the hindquarters, softening the neck, stop, go, walk, trot, lope, turn right, turn left, shoulder yield; developing frame and collection, horizontal and vertical flexion, opening gates, maneuvering obstacles, learning rollbacks and fence work – all the while developing a soft feel with a responsive and safe horse.
Special attention is devoted to the One-Rein Stop and developing good circles with softness and flexion.
While most of the riders in this video use Western gear, the basics are the same for any discipline, English or Western.
Includes Domestic Horses, Mustangs, and Mules.
